I may not have loved him as much as Simon, but he came very close to it. I was concerned I wouldn’t like Anthony when I realized he would be courting Kate’s sister, but being allowed into this thoughts made it all the better as I could see what his real feelings were. I couldn’t get enough of this couple and by the time the paille-maille game concluded, I was rolling with laughter and absolutely in love with Kate. The Viscount Who Loved Me is a thoroughly engaging, swoon-worthy love story - a romance crafted of equal parts passion and intellect, Anthony and Kates.
I love a good enemies-to-lovers story and this one was wonderful. There was quite the sizzle and spark between Anthony and Kate as they battled each other. When notorious rake Anthony Bridgerton announces that he has chosen a prospective bride, he faces unexpected opposition when his intended's meddlesome sister Kate decides to protect her innocent sister from the wicked aristocrat. However, it still beats so many other books that I have listened/read and loved in the past.
I found this story to be almost, but not quite, as good as the first book. I experienced the same in the previous audio and once again found myself so absorbed, I chose to listen to this long after the time I usually turn it off. She brought this story to life in a way that, in my experience, isn’t easily found, especially in romance audios. The second, enchanting volume in Quinn’s bestselling series, The Viscount Who Loved Me charts the path of Anthony, the oldest of the Bridgerton siblings, as he, tasked with securing the family lineage, finds himself in need of a wife. Landor was exceptional with each character giving them their own unique tone and cadence.
